Our Grammar Course is designed to make the sometimes tricky rules of English grammar clear, memorable and enjoyable for every child. Through colourful activities, games, writing tasks and real-life examples, children build a solid grammar foundation that improves both their speaking and writing. 20 carefully structured topics across 10 weeks ensure a thorough, age-appropriate journey through the English language.
Each topic is taught over one dedicated lesson (2 topics per week over 10 weeks).
People, places, animals and things. Identifying and using common and proper nouns.
Action words and "being" verbs. Understanding what a verb does in a sentence.
Describing words that paint pictures. Comparative and superlative adjectives.
Words that describe how, when, where or how often something happens.
I, you, he, she, it, we, they โ how to use them to avoid repetition.
Position and direction words โ on, in, under, beside, between, through.
Joining words โ and, but, or, because, so, if, when. Building longer sentences.

Topics 11 & 12: Comma rules in lists and clauses. Punctuating dialogue โ writing a short conversation between two characters.
Topics 13, 14 & 15: Journey through time! Compare the same story told in past, present and future tenses. Regular and irregular verb forms.
Topics 16 & 17: Regular and irregular plurals with sorting games. Apostrophes for contraction and possession โ common mistakes fixed!
Topics 18 & 19: Writing statements, questions, commands and exclamations with purpose. Structuring ideas into well-organised paragraphs.
Topic 20: Children use all their grammar knowledge to write their best piece โ a story, poem or description. Shared reading, certificates and celebration!
